I was meaning to write this post on Friday- however that didn't happen. What else is new. I am so excited because now we are officially less than six months away from our wedding. Crazy to think how fast these last eight months have flown by. We have been in the "waiting" period of our engagement for the past few months so now it is time to jump back on it.

My wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses are all in and let me tell you, they are fabulous. I may have been a little bias before but now that I am working for Coastal Knot Bridal- I am a LOT bias, literally all the dresses are just stunning. We also knocked wedding stationary off our list of things to do. Whoop! It feels so good to be able to check things off our list. We are also having two wedding showers thrown for us next month- which is so super exciting. As if picking up my wedding dress didn't make it real enough for us- this will. We are so blessed to have the friends and family that we do that are taking the time out of their schedules to throw us these showers and I can't wait to share with you all the details!

Getting closer to the wedding we knew it was time to start envisioning how we wanted our wedding to look and feel. There are so many different areas to cover while planning a wedding and so many different styles a wedding could have. We wanted nothing more than our wedding to reflect us in every aspect. We are simple, somewhat traditional, but yet still young and fun- so we have really tried to make sure our wedding shows off our style. I can't wait to see it all come together!

My poor blog- I feel as though its been neglected lately. There hasn't been too many exciting things to blog about lately. We are almost "officially" 6 months away from our wedding date. My, oh, my where has the time gone? We have found our selves in the waiting period of the engagement. All the big stuff is done, all our vendors are booked and ready to roll, so now we are just anxiously awaiting the crazy period. Whats the crazy period you ask? It's that period probably around September where you start to place your order for the little things, and tie up all the loose ends, finish all the little crafts, etc. I can't believe that stage is almost here as well. It still feels like yesterday that Sam was down on one knee and I was standing in front of him, frizzy hair and no make up, repetitively asking if he was kidding me. Crazy. I am anxiously wanting to share all our wonderful wedding details but I am afraid I will spill too much of the goods so mums the word for now. 

I know it's late- but I've been waiting a month and a half to write this post so I just couldn't wait one more day. Today was such a happy day. One of my best friends, and bridesmaids got ENGAGED today. I cannot tell you how much happiness fills my soul for the two of them. Devin and Haley are the perfect match. They have a love for each other that the Notebook doesn't even compare to.

About a month or so ago Sam and I went to Charlotte to a Jesus Culture concert with Devin, Haley, Drew, Meghan and Jessica. It was then that we found out that Devin had planned to ask Haley to marry him on their six year dating anniversary. (Cue the 'awws'.) I mean, does it get any better than that? Well, actually it does. Devin had the proposal planned out so perfectly. It was better than any show or movie that I have ever seen. He asked her close girl friends, her sister, and her soon-to-be sister-in-law to help him execute his plan. Haley thought that Devin was picking her up at 6 and taking her to Pawleys Island for dinner- to her surprise five of us girls show up in her bathroom and blind fold her, and put a pillow case over her head and kidnapped her. He had planned a picnic for her on the beach for her and us girls in the same exact spot that they celebrated their one year anniversary. Then in the middle of our picnic Emily and Meghan (her sisters) came in and carried her to her next location where Devin had a video made for her that took her for a walk down memory lane- with a pretty sweet dance off at the end I might add. Then she was blind folded again and was walked out in front of the pier where 70 of their closest friends and family were waiting for them holding a banner up asking for Haley to marry him. The whole proposal was amazing, so thoughtful and filled with love. I couldn't imagine any two people more perfect for each other than Devin and Haley. God pieced them together so wonderfully and I know that he has great plans for them. I am so beyond happy for the both of them and I can't wait to see what else God has in store for the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Devin Sellers! AHHHH!

I've been meaning to write this post all week but I am just now getting some time to really sit down and think for a minute. This week hasn't been my favorite of weeks to say the least, but I'm moving forward and its almost over now so that's good. I wanted to take a minute to share with you some powerful worship music that I've recently fallen in love with lately. Maybe this post is for someone, or maybe it is for me but I have just felt like I needed to share. The only thing that has ever got me through a rough time, or a busy time, or even really really great times is turning on my ipod, getting by myself, and just soaking and spending some one-on-one time with Jesus. Worship is such a powerful thing. We all worship in different ways, whether you have your hands up, or hands down, or you're sitting, standing, running or jumping I think that it is probably one of the most important things you can do in your relationship with Jesus. With that being said here are some songs that might make you do all of the above:

Whew. It has been forever since my last post. I'll get better once school gets out, I promise. There are so many wonderful things that have been happening for Sam and I lately that it's hard to keep up. We are loving both of our new nieces, and we are doing our best to spoil them as much as we can. It's also our nephew, Asher, and Sam's birthday this weekend, so we're going to be full of fun and cake. I can't wait.
