Hey guys, hope you have had a wonderful Thursday so far. Fortunately for me, my weekend started around noon today, but for those of you who have to wait until tomorrow, hang in there!

Today was a busy day, but it went rather nicely. I had my final English presentation this morning at 8 am. You'd think that since I've had a 8 am class all year I would be used to it by now...nope. Not even the slightest bit. However I think I did well, thanks to those of you who said a quick prayer! We had to dress up all spiffy in a non-flashy business outfit. So here is a picture right after I finished:

I have to go back for a few short minutes on Tuesday to do a quick peer assessment then it is so long English 114! I am thrilled. My summer break is approaching so quickly.

-- That it took me 3 hours to have lunch (at Taco Bell) and run to the bank...I kept getting sidetracked.

-- That I have at least 3 loads of laundry to do and I am on the computer.

--That I have a date with myself and The Hunger Games tonight. I am determined to finish it before tomorrow evening.

--That I am actually contemplating splurging on this really cute Tory Burch Ella tote. It comes in so many colors, it would be the perfect summer bag.

--That I so desperately need a nap but I keep fighting myself. I should just stop.

--That I went and paid my car payment today, and the guy chased me out the parking lot because I accidentally gave him too much money. That's a first.

--That I redid my blog last night, then redid it again this morning because I decided I didn't like it. I promise, no more changing. I am pleased now.

--That my mom has been out of the country for two days now and she has only Facebook messaged me once to rub in the good time she is having. Lucky woman.

--That I am not excited for the weekend because I will be working. But hey, at least I'm making money! :)

--That my sunburn is peeling, wait no, that's not okay. I HATE that.

--That this totally reminds me of Sam and I if there is anything sports related on t.v.

What a beautiful Wednesday! I can't believe this week is almost over. I got some much needed sleep today and did not get out of bed until 2:30! ~~Crazy~~ I mean lazy. I will need my rest though, it is going to be a busy weekend. My mom and Aunt left for Costa Rica this morning for 8 days, so I'll be holding down the fort until she returns. Lucky her! I was going to join them but I have a little...okay HUGE fear of flying. (such a baby, huh?) Oh well, maybe next time. Any who-- I have been the biggest klutz lately, far more than usual. I have little bruises all over myself... yikes. Monday night I hit myself in the eye with the shampoo bottle, then ran into the recliner in the living room...like I didn't know it was there or something. Then last night before work I ran into the coffee table and there is a cute little bruise on my right shin, and to top it all off, I went to put back the newly made gallon of ranch dressing in the cooler at work last night, got tripped up by my own feet and it slipped out my hand. oh lanta. It was gross, and a pain to clean up. I don't think I will ever eat ranch dressing again.

oooops.

Luckily I was working with my Aunt Mandy so we had a ball cleaning it up. We were laughing and joking about it and she didn't tell my mother (the boss lady) so that was a plus. Thanks Aunt M, you're the best! I really need to work on not being so clumsy before I get fired by my own parents! :)

...Jergens Natural Glow self- tanner. I started using it a few weeks back and now I swear by it! It is seriously amazing, and way less harmful to your skin than the tanning bed. (And cheaper too!) I like the foam better than the lotion, and there is not really a bad tanner smell.

...White skinny jeans, I bought a pair a month or two back and wore them for Easter and I LOVE them! Pair them with nude heels or some cute wedges and you're good to go!

...This whole new blogging world, I didn't think I would enjoy it, but I have become addicted! It is awesome! I am having a little trouble linking my own button and getting a drop box for the link, so if you know how to help I would be forever grateful!

... And lastly monogrammed baseball caps for the beach, boat, or just a summer day. I love me a baseball hat and since the cute monogrammed floppy beach hats look horrible on me, this is my alternative! I am ordering one for every bathing suit I own. :)

I’d love to tell you guys it has been just another typical Tuesday, but unfortunately it hasn’t. My mind has been racing in so many directions all day that I literally think it’s giving me a headache. For starters—I have NO idea what I want to go to school for… which, I’m sure I am not the only college freshman dealing with this issue, but still. I started off as going for Special Education, which I know I would be great at. I love children, and being able to teach them and watch them grow but I can’t help but wonder is that what I am supposed to do. Just because you’re good at something doesn’t mean it is going to make you happy for the rest of your life, right? I mean I’m a cleaning machine but if I had to do it for a living I would die.

So what now? I tossed around cosmetology, I am really good at doing other peoples hair, but that doesn’t mean much either. Well what about marketing? I did get an A in sports entertainment marketing in High School orrrrr I could be an art major, I love to color. I did tell Sam a few weeks back that I’d love to hunt alligators like on Swamp People! That sounds good.—Okay, let’s be serious, none of that is going to get me anywhere. So what do I do? Just go to school and hope the perfect career just falls into my lap? I wish. Wonder how much they pay Cinderella at Disneyland? Well, until I figure it out Bart’s BBQ on the weekends, and babysitting during the week it is. Man I wish life wasn’t so complicated.

Oh but I wish....

Any who—it is in fact the final stretch of the semester, which means I don’t have to worry with this career mess anymore until August. Wahoo! This also means that my long distance relationship is coming to an end. Sigh of relief. Well, for now anyways. Who knows where he’ll get a super awesome job. But we’ll enjoy our time together until then. This has been my first go around with the long distance deal, and I think we have handled it beautifully. Sure we wanted to kill each other a few times during the process, but if I can say one thing about it, it’ll really stretch you as a person. It has taught me to be a better communicator, a better listener, a better friend, and how to give and take. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I appreciate our time together so much more than I would if we saw each other all the time; I hope that never goes away.

I have also been contemplating cutting my hair for a few days now, worrying about Mom being out of the country for 8 days and how I am going to survive off cereal. I told you, my mind has been racing. I am talking about a marathon, lost in the woods, took a left, and is still racing…everywhere. I can’t tell you how badly I would love to turn off my brain for like 5 minutes. It is a constant to-do list. Between getting like all my dresses altered by next week, paying my bills on time, the long list of movies I’d like to see before they leave the theaters, it’s never ending. Thank God that is the only thing that I am worried with. I am truly blessed. It is so easy to take our lives for granted during our busy weeks, and checklists. I get too consumed with my petty things, thank God for his grace and patience.

Now onto a little something fun:

I was reading through Lisa’s blog Just a Brief Introduction and she was talking about picking “theme songs” for her and her friends. How fun! So quickly I asked Sam to pick me a theme song…. He picked Big Things Poppin By TI….ummm, alright. I am not entirely sure what I would pick—maybe Eye of the Tiger, but only because it’s my favorite song ever. I’d love to hear yours!

First off, is anyone else having trouble with their blog? I'll have everything perfect, and formatted correctly and when I post it, it is all jumbled up and not spaced out at all! I could totally use some help if anyone knows how to fix this.

Anyways-- happy Friday y'all! I can tell you, it has already been interesting. Kind of funky, really. You see, I work in my families BBQ restaurant, and we were busy as soon as we opened. Well first the day started off with a line full of people waiting at the cash register to pick up their to-go orders. I was standing there trying to ring this sweet old lady up when the kitchen rings the bell. This really rude guy walks up beside the lady I am taking money from and asks me to stop what I am doing and get the food that was just put in the window, it was his sandwich. Like really? I'm not busy with someone or anything. So I told him politely that I would when I'm done helping the lady. I am pretty sure she was irritated that he asked as well, she gave him an awful look! THEN right after that happened this other guy comes up to place his order, and gets a phone call and he answers it. And not only is he holding up the line, he is yelling. I mean like screaming as he is talking and disturbing the whole place. Is this real life? I was so annoyed, but what can you do? nothing. Just smile and wait patiently. Probably the hardest thing ever, I am so awful when it comes to patience. One of my many flaws-- but hey, who wouldn't get irritated by that? Just remember:

On the other hand, it is the weekend, and I couldn't be more excited. It's my boyfriends birthday tomorrow-- and he is coming home! Yay! Except his gifts are scattered all over my room, unwrapped. I should probably get on that sometime soon. But until I find the motivation to do so, I am going to continue to read my book and maybe squeeze in a nap!
