Hi y'all! Happy Friday, and a big shout out to my few new followers, I am so excited you ladies stopped by.

It was a action packed Thursday, so instead of my usual link up, I will just catch you up:

For starters, I got a Kindle Fire from my awesome parents. I had been looking into them because I have recently found myself turning into a little book worm and the books on that thing are way cheaper than buying the hard copy and it would save some of my hard earned cash in the long run. So when I woke up, my parents said they wanted to go get me one for working so hard and we hopped right in the car and made our way to Office Depot. Again I say, amazing parents.

Boom. I can't wait to finish The Hunger Games so I can start reading on this thing. Does anyone recommend some great books to download? I would love to hear about them!

After what felt like Christmas morning, I loaded up Jay ~~yes I named my Jetta,~~ picked up Sam and Blair and headed to the beach. We were out there for about an hour when we met up with our good friends Devin and Haley. I adore these two. They are quite possibly one of my favorite couples. They have been together for almost 5 years. Real life high school sweethearts. Haley and I have been friends since my 9th grade year, and Sam and Devin were college roommates. Pretty cool,huh? So you can kind of guess how Sam and I met each other, so I leave that story for a later date. We sat and talked, laughed, and just had some great fellowship in the sun.

After a fun filled beach day, we all got showered up and headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner, and Krispy Kreme for dessert. It was delicious, as always.

Funny story about this last picture, as you've noticed we all had out hats on while we were there....well I didn't get the memo that we weren't taking the hats with us. Well I get in the car and look at Devin, no hat. Then Haley, took hers off too. Blair, nope. So I turn my head to look at Sam, and boom he kept his on too. I died laughing, we really are two of a kind. Love that man.

Any who-- It is off to work for me, then we're going to see The Avengers with the little boys I babysit tonight. Has anyone seen it? I have heard good things so far. I'll keep you posted!

Hey there! Hope you are having a fabulous week. I can say with full confidence this summer is going to rock, the first week itself has been awesome.

First off, I redid some of my sweet friends and fellow bloggers profiles for them and I think they turned out really cute. Their blogs are adorable as well, so it made it pretty easy.

Any who-- yesterday I got to spend some quality time with my two great friends Blair and Haley at the beach. It was a much needed day of girl talk and great laughs. According to my bff Blair, Mexico and Canada are part of the US. Who knew? She is a nut.

Another funny story that I have to share-- We were riding home from the beach today (yes, I went again, talk about sunburn and I wore sunscreen!) and the song grenade came on by Bruno Mars. Well we decided to have a mini dance party in the car. We may have got a little out of control and it quickly turned into more of like a mosh pit gone wrong. Long story short, we went all out for the last high note at the end and Blair decided to do a little head banging move...and literally banged her head on my dash. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I am certain that there will be a nice goose egg on that forehead of hers tomorrow.

In other news- My good friend Ryan over at Jumpin' Java talked me into cheating on my usual small German chocolate blended, with whip cream and try the Almond Joy blended instead. I think I fell in love all over again. It was delicious and tasted just like the candy bar, which happens to be one of my favorites. So if you're ever near the Brunswick area be sure to check that place out. Better than Starbucks, hands down.

Can I just rant for a moment.....

I have recently had like 4 big discussions with different people about couples going through each others phones/facebooks/twitters etc. In my opinion, if you feel like you have to go through each others stuff, why would you be with that person to begin with? Trust is a major thing in a relationship and if you have to monitor that person constantly, is that really setting a good foundation? Maybe I'm wrong, but it is my BIGGEST pet peeve. What do you think? Is it normal for couples to do that these days? I'd love to hear some feedback on this topic.

Mother's day is coming up and I would love to hear some gift ideas if anyone has them!

Happy Tuesday! I'll have to admit my Monday wasn't bad all all. Crazy, right? Sam came home Sunday night so I had him to hang out with yesterday. It was so nice. We got up early and got breakfast. Like, 7 am early. We laid around the house and watched some T.V. and both fell asleep quickly after we sat down. We got up around 1 and went and ate lunch. I have to say, I don't really get emotional too easy but I have to share this one little thing.-- I grew up to always pray over every meal, no matter how big or small, so when our food came out to the table and he quickly grabbed my hand and bowed his head and prayed over our food, I was so touched. I am so so so blessed to have someone that shares the same importance of faith as I do. Anyways, we came home after lunch and squeezed in ANOTHER nap. He fell asleep sitting on the bed, so I laid down on the couch and passed out. It was so nice. By around 5 we started getting ready for dinner. My parents were taking my brother and I, his girlfriend, and Sam all out to eat at Myabi's Japanese steak house. I had the shrimp and chicken. So yummy. Then right after we ate we went to a famous little ice cream place called Painter's and ate dessert. After my strawberry cheesecake cone we went to Sam's parents house and hung out with them for a bit. It was a great night. I am so blessed to have such an awesome family, and a sweet sweet boyfriend that has just as awesome of a family.

I have been super busy lately so I haven't really been up to par on my Saturday Steals, so I will catch you up on two of my latest finds really quick today.

I tried these last week and I fell in love. They remove all your make up off your face, in one swipe. No, I am not kidding. Neutrogena make-up remover wipes are the bomb. If you don't believe me pick up a little travel pack at Wal-Mart and try them out. They leave your face feeling so smooth.

I just bought a bottle of this baby, and it is a lifesaver. It is the John Frieda moisture barrier, frizz ease hair spray. It is like hair crack. I sprayed each layer of my hair while flat ironing it, was outside in the heat all day, and my hair stayed straight and without any frizz! I recommend it to anyone and it is only like 7 bucks for a can. Totally worth it.

Have you ever had just one of those days where NOTHING seems to go your way? Sheesh, today is that day. I have had an incredible, busy, but very productive week. It has been such a relief to knock off some chores and some of my to-do’s before summer gets here, but I knew all that going and going was going to catch up with me. I overslept just a tad for church this morning, and woke up feeling yucky. I quickly got dressed and did my hair. I got ready so fast; I made up for waking up late and headed to my car on time! Only to get there and it not start….I had left my lights on! So I went back inside and waited on my grandma to get ready since she lives next door. Well, the dog got out……and decided to take a stroll through the neighborhood while I was waiting. About 15 minutes later he returned and we were really late. All piled in the car, we were off. We get to church and I realized I left my snack and lesson plan for my 3&4’s Sunday school class in my backseat….at home. So off I went in my grandmas minivan, luckily my house is only 10 minutes away, but still. I always feel like if something is going to go wrong, it is going to be on a Sunday morning. Like the enemy is trying so hard to prevent you from making it to church and hearing Gods word. I almost threw in the towel and just stayed at home, but I kept thinking about how selfish that would have been for me to leave the little ones hanging. Sure, I could read my bible in the comfort of my own home this morning, but who would teach them?

I cannot say how important it is on days like today to just keep pressing on, I’m not going to lie I broke down and cried a few times but as soon as I walked into that church building, all that stress was lifted. I forgot about my hectic morning, or the fact that I already had blisters on my feet from my new shoes. It was a test for me this morning, and I think I passed. Not with flying colors by any means, but I made it. I was quickly reminded that it isn’t about me. It’s not what I need, or what makes me happy. I got to class with the little ones and everything was fine. We’re too blessed to be stressed with the little things. My God is bigger than a dead car battery, or a little blister.

Our lesson today was on Joseph and Potiphar. How the Lord was with Joseph every step of the way, and how he succeeded and was rewarded by Potiphar because of that, and that we should always pray and give thanks to Jesus for being with us. The kids told me some of their stories about how the Lord was with them, and they succeeded. From healing boo boo’s, to riding big boy bikes. It truly touched my heart. I almost started crying again when we went to have snack time, and I took a big bite of my zebra cake, and was quickly reminded by a sweet little boy that we should always pray and give thanks before we eat, even if it is a just a zebra cake. I would go through awful mornings like that every day knowing that my little lesson touched a kid’s heart.
