a little head banging never hurt..

Hey there! Hope you are having a fabulous week. I can say with full confidence this summer is going to rock, the first week itself has been awesome.

First off, I redid some of my sweet friends and fellow bloggers profiles for them and I think they turned out really cute. Their blogs are adorable as well, so it made it pretty easy.

Take a look see and follow them:

(If anyone knows how to get a banner to go all the way across the page, please fill me in!)

Any who-- yesterday I got to spend some quality time with my two great friends Blair and Haley at the beach. It was a much needed day of girl talk and great laughs. According to my bff Blair, Mexico and Canada are part of the US. Who knew? She is a nut.

Blair, Me and Haley. I adore these two.

Another funny story that I have to share-- We were riding home from the beach today (yes, I went again, talk about sunburn and I wore sunscreen!) and the song grenade came on by Bruno Mars. Well we decided to have a mini dance party in the car. We may have got a little out of control and it quickly turned into more of like a mosh pit gone wrong. Long story short, we went all out for the last high note at the end and Blair decided to do a little head banging move...and literally banged her head on my dash. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I am certain that there will be a nice goose egg on that forehead of hers tomorrow.

In other news- My good friend Ryan over at Jumpin' Java talked me into cheating on my usual small German chocolate blended, with whip cream and try the Almond Joy blended instead. I think I fell in love all over again. It was delicious and tasted just like the candy bar, which happens to be one of my favorites. So if you're ever near the Brunswick area be sure to check that place out. Better than Starbucks, hands down.

Can I just rant for a moment.....

I have recently had like 4 big discussions with different people about couples going through each others phones/facebooks/twitters etc. In my opinion, if you feel like you have to go through each others stuff, why would you be with that person to begin with? Trust is a major thing in a relationship and if you have to monitor that person constantly, is that really setting a good foundation? Maybe I'm wrong, but it is my BIGGEST pet peeve. What do you think? Is it normal for couples to do that these days? I'd love to hear some feedback on this topic.

Mother's day is coming up and I would love to hear some gift ideas if anyone has them!
P.S.-- Don't forget about the Summertime blogger swap going on over at Jasmine's Reality.

  1. ok first, i need a tan. and a cute neon suit.
second, i totally agree with the 'couples going through your social media' ... totally agree. i don't know if my husband even knows i have a blog. ok, he does. but he sure doesn't know how to get to it. and i'm ok with that.

    1. Thank you, I just fell in love with your blog! And I am glad I am not the only one who thinks that is a tad weird! :)

  2. what beach are you all at? it reminds me of Manhatten Beach in SoCal. And I agree..NO GOING THROUGH YOUR BOYFRIENDS STUFF. If you don't trust them, then you shouldn't be together!

    1. We're at Ocean Isle, NC! Thanks for stopping by, and I totally agree.

  3. Girl, you and your friends are so gorgeousss! Yay for beach times! And I'm with you 100% about the going through each others fbook/phone etc. if you really trust your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife or whatever then you wouldnt need to do that!

    1. Aw, thank you! You are gorgeous too! Your blog is soooo cute! :)
