better late than never..

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a fabulous Mother's Day. I am a little l late with this post because I got sick yesterday around 5 pm, but I am back in action this morning. My sweet boyfriend took very good care of me while I was out of commission. It has been a very busy weekend, as usual. Friday I worked all day and then took the boys to see The Avengers. Now, I am not a big fan of stuff like that but I have to say, it was pretty good. Saturday, my dear friends had their High School Prom, so I did hair and make-up for them. I have recently developed a little knack for fixing peoples hair, so we'll see where it goes from there. I have some pictures, but I will say it always looks better in person, so don't judge me. :) Then after the prom festivities were over I quickly headed out to finish up my Mday gifts, which all turned out SO cute. I met up with Sam and we got our moms squared away and grabbed some dinner and ice cream and headed back to his house to hang out with his parents. Sunday morning came, and we did the usual-- early service with his parents at 9, my church at 10, lunch with his family, dinner with mine. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Here are some pictures from the weekend:

The back of Carls head. I hate you can't really see all the detail at the top.

And the font. Isn't she so pretty? (Please excuse my bathing suits hanging behind her head!)

And Juls front. She is beautiful too!

And the back, it looked so good in person! Can I just add her hair is SO thick and it goes down to her bottom..you better be glad I love you, Juls! :)

They are gorgeous, inside and out.

On to the Mother's Day gifts..

I made this for my brothers girlfriend, cutest and easiest gift you'll ever give, and what girl wouldn't want this? A cute beach towel, and cute tumbler, two things of nail polish and you're done! Enjoy Jen, I was so tempted to keep this for myself. :)

This was Sam's moms gift. We painted the flower pot, put in a pretty flower, paired it with a gift card to Lowes (since they're redoing their yard) and left it on her doorstep until she got home. She loved it!

Annnnd I gave my mom a card with a free hour massage from her favorite masseuse. Not cute enough for a picture, but it was what she wanted. I was going to post this yesterday, but oh well. My mom is more than just a mother to me, she is my very best friend. She was there for me when all my friends left for college, through break ups, and fights with the siblings, countless bad hair days, and wardrobe malfunctions. I can honestly say she knows everything about me. I tell her everything that happens in my life. She always keeps me grounded and level headed, and has taught me to always work hard and put others first. She always reminds me when one door closes, another opens, and never fails to tell me that Gods plan is bigger than my own. I can't tell you how much she means to me, because words probably can't even come close. But I can tell you I love her and admire her so much. I hope when I have children in the future I am at least half the mom she is.

I will love you forever, Mom. Thank you for all that you do.
